HD...Yeah!! [May. 4th, 2009|03:08 pm]
I forgot to mention that we all got flat screen TV's.  Mine is a 47" in my bedroom.  I called today to get an HD DVR for my room and HD receivers for the living room and the kitchen.  Jake doesn't want one.  He wants his X-Box to be on HD.  Anyway, they come tomorrow to install them.  I'm so excited.

I'm also excited because Jake and I are going up to St. Loius to see two ball games.  We go up the 15th and come back the 17th.  It should be so much fun.

Then last night we found out that my niece is flying in to Cinci to visit my brother over Memorial Day and so we made plans to go up there to visit all of them.  We are staying about 4 nights.  So exciting.  Just all kinds of mini vacations before my big vacation in the fall when I go back to Florida.

Here I am again... [May. 3rd, 2009|02:16 am]

Well, it's been months since I posted but I've been through a few changes and I was without internet or a computer for a while.  We moved.  Mom and Dad sold their place.  They've lived there for about 40 years but they made loads of money and couldn't resist.  Plus, we were tired of living in a fish bowl with everyone in the county knowing what we did.

We moved out of the county and now live in civilization.  Only about 10 minutes to the mall and yet still in a quiet country subdivision.  We have a garage now.  That's so nice.  Before we only had a carport.  My motorcycle is housed inside now.  Not that I get to ride it much now but we'll get into that later.

With the new place and new money came new computers and new toys.  It's been fun.  New Toyota Tundra truck for Jacob as a graduation gift.  I got the new laptop, a zune, a new digital video camera, all kind of new clothes, new purses, new shoes, like I said, it's been fun.

I've seen several different shrinks  and they think I do have bipolar and now I'm on 31 different medications.  Additionally, because of a couple of places that I've worked and *shrugs* I smoke, I have COPD.  I have to use an electric wheelchair when going anywhere where I have to walk any distance at all.  Just getting from the car to Wal-Mart's entrance makes me lose my breath.  I was told that if I didn't quit smoking my lungs were "done", so I'm trying to work on that.

Still trying to get my disability.  There's no way I can work with my mental and physical problems now.  Just waiting on the hearing date to be set.  My lawyer believes we will win the case.

One of my cousins just got back from his third tour in Iraq.  I still have another one over there.  The one that's over there has a daughter who they think might have the swine flu.  Nothing's for sure yet but she lives in Chicago where all the cases are occurring.

And on that note I think I'll sign off.  I'm so glad we got a Democrat back in the white house.  Maybe now we can get some things done.  Go Obama!

Shrink Du Juor [Jul. 9th, 2008|03:13 pm]

Well, I went to my shrink appointment and they brought in my social worker so it was like a twofer!  This shrink has decided I don't have bipolar.  Of course he is only going to be there for another month and the next one will probably say I do have bipolar.  He did changed my medicine.  He took me off atovan and put me back on Klonopin.  He also added Xanax and Topamax.  He also took me off of Ambien since it doesn't work for me.

Then he drew blood to check for some things including syphyllis.  If I have syph. I am so going to kill my ex husband cause I know he was the one playing around on me.  Blood will be shed.  He also checked my B12, folic acid, H7H, and blood glucose.

Oh!  I got a ticket driving to the appointment.  I didn't even look at my speedometer and I was going through a work zone.  No one was working but whatever.  I was clocked doing 72 in a 55.  The ticket is $211 unless I go to traffic school, which I will.  It's been forever since I got a ticket.  Needless to say, this did nothing to help my anxiety attack.  I was about 5 minutes late to the appointment and I hate to be late to anything.

It's official I am crazier now than I was before.  Instead of 16 meds I am now taking 19.  What's it going to be like when I am old?  Ponder that for a while.

Sleep---so elusive [Jul. 9th, 2008|07:45 am]
I had 3-4 hours of sleep tonight.  Pretty much my usual.  I'm now watching Morning Joe which I pretty much do every morning.  MCBush scares me.  He really does.  Andr while I was a Hillary supporter I guess I am now an Obama backer.  I still think Hillary would have made a good president.  Yay for Jake out stumping for Obama.  I guess I need to start campaigning.  It's about time to start.

I tried to put pictures on here but someone will have to educate me on that fun thing.

I would love to change the background of my LJ.  Any takers?

I managed to talk with both Heidi and Jake before they went to work.

Oh!  And I got to talk to Ands for the first time last night!  One of these days we'll get our old gang back together even though everyone is grown up now.

I tried to do a buddy chat with AIM last night but wouldn't happen.  that sucks.

I have to go see my psychiatrist today and my social worker.  I'll let you know how that goes when I get back from those appointment.  I'm just hoping they have good crafts this time.  LOL!

Patsy is finally off her medicine.  Her cough is better though she still has it a little bit.  He ears don't smell so her infections must be gone.

Yes, I'm bored, tired, and smoking too much.  I just am really not looking forward to my psychiatric appointments today.  I'll have to rehash what's bothering me and that's never fun.  And I get to do it twice instead of once today.

Oh!  Iran tested middle and long range missles today.  Very scary stuff!

Well, I guess I'll go get my ass kicked on AIM QQ games.  Yes, I'm that bored.

Post more later.

Patsy Is Awesome [Jul. 5th, 2008|11:25 pm]
Didn't do too much today.  Although, I did talk to long lost friends Nikki, Heidi, Talula, and Jake.  Well, I talked with Jake yesterday but it still counts.

I did manage to spray paint a vent I've been meaning to do for months now.  I got paint on my finger and it's been bugging the shit out of me ever since.  But the vent looks good or at least a hell of a lot better now.

While I was outside painting the vent, I started up my motorcycle just to make sure it would start.  It's been about a week since I rode it.  I really need to ride it more often.  It gives me such a sense of freedom.  It's like flying.  There's not another feeling in the world like it.  For those of you who I haven't told, I bought a 2007 Yamaha V-Star Silverado Custom.  It's absolutely awesome.

I played with Patsy most of the day.  Then my dad steps on her not once but three times.  She came running to me crying.  Dad almost fell down trying not to step on her but it only made it worse.  She's okay though.  She just wanted some loving.

While I was outside I also picked a rose from my yellow rose bush.  I'm really surprised any of my flowers survived the winter considering I didn't winterize them at all.

And, just for you who are dying to know (LOL), I received a bunch of refills from the VA today and spent some time doling out the meds into daily requirements.  I take a total of 16 meds now.  16!  That's more than my mom and dad combined.  It's depressing.

And Talula reminded me of this quote as we were discussing the movie it was from, "Bam!  Bitch went down!  Sid, super bitch!"  Said by the skank...er, the lovely Rose McGowan.

Faith goodness on Buffy!  I may drool.  Need I say more?

Drooling, definitely drooling.  And my puppy started barking as soon as Eliza hit the screen.  Even she has good taste!

Too Wong Fu [Jul. 5th, 2008|01:36 am]
I didn't do anything today.  Mostly slept off and on.  Which is something I have to do when I can.

"Whatever happened that night is between me and Gordon and Gordon is dead".  ~ random quote that means something to me.

Fourth of July?  I used to care but right now I just don't.  It's hard to be enthusiastic about your country when the republicans have ruined it so completely.  I have one cousin on his 2nd tour of Iraq and another cousin about to go on his 2nd tour of Afghanistan.  Talk about government waste, the first cousin has received new combat boots every month.  He doesn't need them every month.  Too bad the government couldn't send him the supplies he does need rather than 15 pairs of boots.

I used to fire off fireworks of my own but this year...just not incined.  I watched the Macy's thing instead.  Then I want back to my room, signed on to the computer and promptly fell asleep.  I woke up about 12 am and got online again.

Well, I've checked my blood sugar and now it's time for bed.  Talk to everyone later.

Bloggage [Jul. 3rd, 2008|02:18 am]
No sleep last night but I'm used to it.  I sat up waiting for anyone to come online but no one had the urge.

Today a marathon of Tru Calling was on Sci Fi channel.  I kind of slept and watched it at the same time missing a lot of the good parts.  Good thing I DVR'd the eps so I could watch them later.  However, the whole watching/sleeping thing provides no rest.

This afternoon Jake and I had haircuts.  Since it's only been about 6 months since we both last had a haircut, getting rid of all that hair sure feels better.  Jake's haircut makes him look even more like a man and not just the teenager that he is.  My hair feels about 5 pounds lighter since the haircut.  I don't really know why I don't like getting haircuts other than I hate sitting still for that long unless it's something I like doing and getting my hair cut is not something that fits that criteria.

While we were gone to get our haircuts, Daddy decided to vacuum.  When he turned on the vacuum Patsy ran for dear life.  It scared her so bad she hid out under my bed and didn't come out until I got back home and coaxed her out.  Poor Patsy scared of the vaccum cleaner.

Jake's friend, Trent, from Nashville drove up and they went to Gatti's, played mini golf, and then went to see Hancock.  Apparently that's a good movie.  Who knew?  I'm glad Trent could make it up here because they had a good time.

I chatted with Talula.  It was great talking with you, T.  Thanks for giving me the opportunity to continue our friendship.  I really appreciate it.

I was sleepy after talking with T so i got offline and did the watching/sleep thing again, which again didn't allow me to rest.  Then I got back online so I could blog.

(no subject) [Jul. 1st, 2008|09:09 pm]
Wow!  I just got 4 whole hours of sleep.  That's awesome!  I rarely get that much sleep at one time any more.  I feel almost human.

Now, what to talk about?  I'm fighting the urge to get a bowl of ice cream.  Not doing too good at that.  I really want some of my mom's rice pudding but she hasn't made any lately.  So, ice cream is my 2nd choice.  I wrote this about 2:30 this morning and did not win my battle against the ice cream.

I made the mistake of leaving Patsy on my bed today to make myself a sandwich.  She apparently was impatient to get off my bed and can't jump down because my bed is too high, nor has she figured out how to negotiate the doggie steps yet.  So, instead she just plodded her way on my night table so she could see better down the hall or at least whine louder.  I keep all my pill bottles on my nightstand and now they are all over my room.  Khan!

Today I had a doctor's appointment.  I still have my ear infections which have been going on for 6 months or longer now.  Also, I needed a couple of refills.  But the real reason I made the appointment was because they told me I had to when I got the glucometer yesterday,  Anyway, now I'm on yet another round of antibiotics to try to get rid of the damn ear aches.  We'll see.

Patsy's cough is getting worse even though she's been on antibiotics for a week now.  I guess I'll have to take her back to the vet's if it continues to get worse.  By the way, I thought I was through giving out amoxicillin drops when Jacob made it past infancy but noooooo.  I have to give Patsy 1/2 dropperful twice a day.

I went over to my friends apartment this afternoon and visited with her for a while.  After that I stopped by Wendy's and picked up a chicken/BLT salad which I ate half of when I got home.  We watched Celebrity Family Fued and I just have to say Kathie Lee Gifford's son Cody is a total cutie.  I think he's a year older than Jake.  Her daughter Cassidy is cute too but I just can't get over how grown up looking Cody is.  I wonder if other people think that about Jake and I just don't see it because he will always be my baby.

Then I came online to see if anyone was on but no one there to talk to.  I hope people aren't avoiding getting on AIM just because I'm back online.  It makes me sad to think that would be the case.  Be assured that if you don't want to talk with me all you have to do is say so and I won't bother you again.  I totally understand why people wouldn't want to chat with me.

Well, I guess that's all for now.  If I get too bored I may post again.

Jilly, I hope you're having a great day!  Can't wait to chat with you again.

LJ Ate My Blog [Jun. 30th, 2008|10:32 pm]
I had a blog entry going and, I swear, LJ up and ate it! (scary, scary, LJ)

I'll have to post a little later. Be back soon.

Well, I'm back. Sooner than I thought. But I am bored. No one is on AIM. At least no one who is speaking to me. I'll try to repost what I had written earlier.

I never went to sleep last night, which happens quite a lot. Nothing really eventful happened this morning except Patsey drug out anything she could get her little teeth into.

I needed a new glucose meter and had called the clinic last week to ask for one. They finally called me back today and said they had a glucometer at the clinic for me and would write the scripts for lancets and strips. Well, I dropped off the scripts at the pharmacy and went home to check my blood sugar with the new machine. After a bit I went back to the pharmacy to pick up my stuff and they told me they didn't have the strips needed for the machine the clinic gave me. So, I ended up getting another new meter at the pharmacy along with the strips and landcets. Now I can't take back the machine to the clinic because I had used it. I ended up with two perfectly good meters when I only needed one.

Then Jake and I went to Wal-Mart because he needed a new mic and wanted more points for his X-Box. The only mic they had was a wireless and Jake didn't want a wireless so we decided to just get him a 4,000 point card and not buy the mic. Well, we get home and mom wants us to go back and buy Jake the mic. We head back to Wal-Mart and, lo and behold, they are now sold out of the mics. So, yeah, wasted trip.

I did get about a 2 and 1/2 hour nap this afternoon before 3 of the dogs all decide to start whining at the same time in my bedroom. I got up and had Hardees for supper. I watched a movie about Johnny Cash and June Carter and then I got on LJ.

Now, you have my day right here on LJ. Aren't we all special?

A big shout out to Jilly for chatting with me on AIM, posting comments on LJ, and just generally being a beautiful human being.

p.s. I had my sundae tonight, Jilly.

My Life [Jun. 30th, 2008|03:52 am]
Even though I said I couldn't post what had gone on in the past 4 years, I will give it a try but leave out some things that I just can't post.

First off, I want to say I'm sorry to all my friends.  I abandoned you and no excuse is good enough to fix that.  I will say I was rather surprised no one called my cell as several of you had my #.

As you know, I got the job as General Manager at FiveStar Convenience Store.  I worked there 3 years and they burnt me out.  I was working crazy hours and just really got tired of working 18 of 24 hours.  So, I quit that job and accepted another with Pepsi Mid-America.  I was there for 3 months.  My grandmother died so I quit Pepsi to help my mother settle her estate, which we are still working on getting accomplished.

Granny's death was a huge blow to me.  I loved her so very much.  She died very quickly.  We put her in the hospital on Monday on Wednesday she was told she had ovarian cancer  The next Wednesday we went to pick her up and bring her to our home only to find out that she had started deteriorating.  We couldn't bring her home and she slipped into a coma.  She died that Saturday morning.  My mother and I were with her when she went gently into that good night.  All in all, she went from feeling fairly okay to finding out she had cancer to death in 12 days,  That's just not enough time to accept her death.

I was a basket case after her death.  I ended up being hospitalized where they decided I was bipolar and depressed.  I was like no shit on the depression thing.  Hell!  I have a degree in business and yet I knew I was depressed.  Idiots!  I seriously debated even posting this because it was just a bunch of drama in my life.

I moved in with my parents to help out because of daddy's stroke.  I think he's in the early stages of Alzheimer's but I can't get my mother to do anything about it.

I have had other, worse things going on that I just don't want to post about.

I also want to say I am sorry to all Halliwell Haven and Charming-Holly fans.  With all that was going on at that time I just couldn't keep the boards up and running.

I would love to hear from all my old friends as well as any new ones.

I think that's all I'll post for now.  There may be more on this subject but there also might not be.  I will try to blog often.

Thanks for anyone taking the time to read this and thanks in advance if you should decide to chat with me in AIM.

Back Online [Jun. 29th, 2008|10:00 pm]

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back online and back on AIM if any of you want to chat.  I had actually forgotten I had an LJ.  Talula reminded me.  Yes, T, you can add me as a friend.

I would update about what all has happened but I can't.  I'll talk to everyone individually if you are all still on AIM.

I will say that I just got a new puppy, a dachshund.  Her name is Patsy.  She weighs 3 1/2 pounds and is white, chocolate, and tan.  She's a cutie.  She's 10 weeks old now.

Anyway, ya'll know my name if you want to talk.  I've missed eveyone while I've been gone.

A Great Big Merci to.... [Apr. 18th, 2004|12:35 am]
[mood | tired]
[music |Watching Band of Brothers]

Andrew! For redoing my LJ layout. He's a wunderkind, that one! Thanks, Andrew.

This is going to be a short blog. I'm waiting for some news and once I get that I'll make a longer blog relating the information. Suffice it say, for now, that I've accepted a very attractive severance package from Jakel and right now, I'm between jobs. Hopefully that won't last long and will be blogged about in under a week or so.

Like I said this was going to be short but I want to give a big shout out to Heidi, Jill (whom I miss very much), oh! And Andrew, of course! The magical wonder of layout updater!

More news to follow. Ya'll just hang in there and I'll get back to you shortly.

Clark Gains in Polls.. [Dec. 21st, 2003|06:45 am]
[mood | tired]

Great news for all us Clarkites, the general is gaining in the primary polls. From Clark '04

Clark Gaining Momentum in Early Primary States

General Wesley Clark is gaining momentum in early primary states. A series of polls released this week show Clark either leading the pack or in a dead heat for first in the important February 3 primary states of Oklahoma, South Carolina and Arizona. The polls were conducted by Survey USA Election Polls from December 13 - 15.

In Oklahoma, Clark leads the pack polling at 34 percent. The closest competitor is Howard Dean at 21 percent. The results have a margin of error is 4.7 percent.

In South Carolina and Arizona, Clark is in a dead heat for first. In the Palmetto State, Clark is polling at 20 percent and Dean at 21 percent. The margin of error is 4.1 percent. In the Grand Canyon State, Clark is polling 29 percent and Dean at 31 percent. The margin of error is 4.9 percent.

This is wonderful news for all Clark supporters. It seems that word of mouth is really starting to work.

I think I'm going to start posting a platform of the day. Today's issue is higher education. Clark recognized how important education is to the future of our citizens and to our nation. His plan for making it possible for the majority of Americans to be able to attend college is unique with his goal being to enroll one million more students in higher education by 2008. To achieve that goal he has a three part plan:

1. Make the first two years of college free for most students - providing a Universal College Grant of $6,000 per year

2. Restrain spiraling tuition increases

3. Enhance savings for college

This is wonderful news for all Americans whether they plan on going to college or not. This plan will allow for a better educated society as a whole. A much needed plan as it provides unlimited resources for the future of our nation, impacting everything from the economy to health care. For more information on his plan, please click this link or contact me at glas@forclark.com

Education pays!

General Clark for President! [Dec. 19th, 2003|11:29 am]
[mood | cheerful]
[music |None - Watching a documentary on a plane crash]

I am throwing my support behind General (ret) Wesley Clark for president. The more I read about his platforms and how he stands on important issues, the more I like him. He would make a great president. He already is a great leader.

I imagine that I will be updating my blog more as I get into campaigning for him. I hate Bush and will do everything in my power to get him out of office.

I signed up to be a recruiter for his campaign. My personal blog site for it is http://glas.forclark.com/

I will also be putting up issues and discussions on my blog. Bush is a liar so let's start with the following release.

Wes Clark Blasts Bush For Rewriting Rationale For War
Little Rock - The Bush Administration has been touching up history and rewriting its rationale for going to war in Iraq. In recent weeks, the White House has redacted words it used on the White House website.

As the Washington Post reported today, the Bush Administration edited its website so that a May 1st speech by the President entitled "President Bush Announces Combat Operations in Iraq Have Ended," now reads "President Bush Announces /Major/ Combat Operations in Iraq Have Ended."

This is just the latest effort of the Bush Administration to change its rationale for war. Wes Clark said:

"First the Bush Administration played a game of bait-and-switch, by focusing on invading Iraq to distract the American people from their failure to round up al Qaeda."

"Now the Bush Administration is playing a shell game of shifting rationales for why we went to war in Iraq."

"Leadership isn't about playing tricks. It requires honesty and accountability. I would like to return those qualities to the White House."</quote>

If anyone wants to know more about Clark and his stand on issues contact me or go to his website http://www.clark04.com/ for more information.

Ding Dong The Wicked Old Witch... [Dec. 15th, 2003|12:49 am]
Okay, I'm watching yet another program about Nostradamus even though his predications just give me the heebie jeebies. I don't know why but they do. And yet, I am compelled to watch them. Weirdness, huh?

Anyway, I survived the weekend. My ex and his two other sons came in to see my son and bring his birthday and Christmas presents. Jake, of course, was very excited to see them. So, I decided to go ahead and have his birthday party while they were here. Jake was ecstatic. He got to open his presents early. I think this is the first time he's opened presents before his actual birthday. To sum it up, Steve blew in and spent a total of four hours with his son. Let's all ponder that for a moment. I'm sure he'll do the same thing when he sees him in the summer. He only sees Jake twice a year.

What else has happened exciting in my life? Hmmmmmmmm, I guess that's a big fat nothing. LOL!

Well, I guess I had better get to bed. I have my outpatient procedure tomorrow.

Before I go, I want to give shout outs to Jillian, Andrew, Heidi, Nikki, Jake, and T.

Leased Clothing...What A Concept! [Nov. 15th, 2003|12:14 am]
[mood | cheerful]
[music |None - Watching Friday's WB Lineup]

Okay, okay, I'm the world's worst blogger. *shrugs* I still think my life's boring but I'll blog to please friends.

Wondering about the title? It's strange but true. And wonderful. LOL! At work, we have this uniform service that we can "lease" uniforms from. When I was first asked if I wanted to wear a uniform at work, I balked at the idea because I pictured something like a mechanic would wear. Little did I know that I could get Dockers and polo shirts as "uniforms". Well, of course I was all for it when I found this out. I get 11 sets of pants/shirts that will be fully laundered and ironed for a mere $6.85 per week. If the clothes get stained or ripped/worn out they are replaced for free. Do you realize that I can't buy clothes, wash them, and replace them for that price? This is wonderful. Also, I won't have to worry about what I'm going to wear to work. I'll just grab one of my navy or khaki Dockers and one of the two different style/color polo shirts off the handy-dandy hanger and throw them on. And the best thing? I can look nice and not have to iron! Ever again! This is wonderful! Oh! And bonus? I bought myself a new pair of shoes tonight because all the dress shoes I have are not made to be worn for long periods of time. So, Eastland Bennington shoes in brown leather. Gotta keep my feet happy, don't ya know. LOL! Honestly, this is a sweet deal. And my son is ecstatic because it means that he won't have to wash clothes nearly as much. However, now I will have to find another chore for him to do to earn his allowance.

Let's see...what else? Well, I had a fucking migraine from hell this week, which will please all the people who've replied before that they are happy when I'm sick. It started on Tuesday and didn't end until midmorning today. It just sucks to be in that much pain and it's not something I would wish on my worst enemy. No, not even those of you who love it when I'm in pain.

I finally finished writing the first draft of the Quality Policy Manual for work. It was a huge project and I was sooooo happy when I pressed the send button on the e-mail that I sent to my VP. The 1st draft version I submitted is 32 pages, which is rather long for a QPM but the 2000 standards are more detailed than the 1994 standards were.

My son decided he wanted to play hockey this year. So, after three practices and over $400 worth of equipment, his first game is Monday night. He's having fun and getting exercise so that's all that really matters. He needs the exercise because his school cut out PE classes for his grade. I think that was one of the stupidest things that they've ever done. Oh well, he'll get exercise through hockey for now and baseball in the spring.

Charmed is still going strong. Much better than the last two seasons. Of course, it wouldn't take much for it to be better than those seasons. Piper is still hot and getting more beautiful by the minute. Holly is just amazing. And she's pregnant. A little Hollyette will be welcomed into the world in the spring. Congrats to Holly and her S.O., David!

Back to the Charmed thing...Chris is sooooo Piper's second son. I've thought so for some time now. They are writing Holly's pregnancy into the show, which is scary because I'm afraid of how Kern is going to handle it. His cryptic remarks inferring that there might not be a father is so bogus. Kern's an ass. I don't know why I would think that he could turn this into a good storyline.

My son's birthday is coming up December 18th and we're still deciding what to do to celebrate it. We thought about having a bowling party but now I think he wants to invite his friend's to go see the last Lord of the Rings movie. I think I like the movie idea the best. I'll let him invite his friends, get them settled into the right theater, then go see a different movie. LOL! I don't care for LOTR mainly because the movies have been too long.

And I can't decide what to give him for his birthday. See, I buy all his birthday and Christmas presents then decide what to give him on his birthday and what to give him for Christmas. I know! I'll list all the presents I've bought and you guys can give me suggestions on what to give him for each one.

-Skannerz Video Game
-Video Now Player
-5 DVD's for the Video Now Player
-Video Now Player Case
-Headphones for Video Now Player
-Bow
-Arrows
-Target
-Tony Hawk Underground for GameCube
-Madden 2004 for GameCube
-Cell Phone
-Game Boy Advanced Gameplayer for GameCube
-20" Flat Screen TV
-DVD Player
-X-Box
-4 X-box Games (Can't remember the titles right now)
-Extra Controller for X-Box
-Memory Card for X-Box

I think that's all I've gotten so far. So? Suggestions on how to split the presents up?

This has turned into a reallllly long post so I should end it soon. But, before I do, I want to wish Jilly a Very Happy Birthday! I hope all your wishes come true. You deserve to have a wonderful day!

Again with the pressure to blog. Okay, okay, here it is. For whatever it's worth since I know my bloggage is boring.

Let's see where to begin...first off, Andrew cursed me. He told me to call off work today and I said no. However, I ended up with a stomach ache that kept me up virtually all night, so..yeah...he got his way after all.

Friday was my outpatient procedure again. While it sure does help my migraines, it also hurts like hell. But I guess a couple of days of soreness is worth preventing the much more excruciating head pain. Anyway, as I'm lying face down in the operating room and my doc is jabbing my neck with what feels like a two inch thick, ten inches long needle, I kick my foot because it hurt like a son of a bitch. He gets all nervous thinking that he just hit and maybe destroyed a nerve in my spine. LOL! I told him that it just hurt like hell and that's why my leg moved. I'm sedated through the procedure so I guess he's a little surprised that I feel it as much as I do. Anyway, they offered to sedate me more but I didn't want it considering I already felt as high as the clouds in the sky. After the procedure, in the recovery area, I noticed that my BP was the best it's been in a hella long time. It was in the 100/49 range. So, I justified the fact that if they'd given me more sedation, I would have totally had no BP. My O2 sats were excellent, however, coming in at 99%. Take that all you people who put me down for smoking! Ha!

I'm loving this season of Charmed so far. At least once it got past the season premiere. Although, even that had Holly in leather, which is never a bad thing! This season has gotten great ratings so far. I'm guessing that all those McCrazies are going nuts because Charmed hasn't lost any viewers and tanked once JM left, like they all hoped for and predicted. Of course, I'm gleeful because it just proves my theory that JM and the entire P/C crapfest brought the show to it's lowest ratings. I notice that at the McCrazies board they post that N/T is beating Charmed, which is so not true. What they are posting is for that time slot on Tuesday Nip/Tuck is beating Charmed. Well, yeah! Since the Tuesday TNT airing is a repeat of Charmed. N/T can't stand up to Charmed's Sunday night ratings. Those McCrazies! So desperate to prove that Charmed was all about Cole that they delude themselves into thinking that N/T's 2.5-3 million viewers is even in the same ball park as Charmed's first run ratings of 6-7 million. And that's not even counting in the ratings Charmed gets on Tuesday nights. Poor McCrazies! Will they never learn? They're also having high hopes for JM getting an emmy for his acting on N/T. Of course, he won't because they don't give emmy's for porn performances and that's about all he does on N/T. Screw as many women in each ep as he can. Yepper, that's emmy material. ROTFLMAO!

Let's see, is there anything else going on in my life worth blogging about? Hmmmmm, my dog has an infected tooth and has to have it removed tomorrow, though I'm thinking your average person really doesn't care one little bit about my dog. LOL!

I haven't talked to Ands in forever. I think she's avoiding me. If you're reading this, Ands...hi! I hope all is going well for you in your Uni life.

Rellik and I had a very interesting conversation today. The girl is so smart she scares me. No, really! She does. She's a really sweet person though and I do so love our convo's.

Jilly and Andrew, I hope you're both doing okay and hanging in there. Life at home isn't the best right now but you'll both be fine. Just hang in there and keep on being the wonderful people you already are!

Heidi, you hang in there too. One day you'll be able to understand what I've been telling you.

Nikki, try to stay away from ebay. LOL!

Well, I guess I had better go since I need to do a scheme for the RPG at CH. I've been putting it off but I should go on and get it done. Damn procrastination! I'm so good at it.

There now, I've blogged so everyone can be happy now. LOL!

Howdy folks! [Sep. 12th, 2003|11:04 pm]

[music |Watching Reba]

What's happening? I haven't got much to blog about but I thought I'd put something here since it's been a few days since I've blogged. I've been sick the whole damn week. I left work early on Tuesday (because I really thought I was dying) and haven't been back since. The only thing I've done was go to the doctor on Tuesday. Turns out I have pneumonia. The rest of the week I've been in bed. Tonight is the first time all week I've been up for more than two hours. I must admit, however, that the only thing good about being sick is the personal service I get. LOL! My parents have shopped for me, picked up my meds, and generally done everything else for me they could. I don't know what I would do without them.

Now for my little rant...the drug companies sure are ripping off American citizens. Honestly, I don't know how people on a lot of meds make it. I feel so sorry for the elderly. I can see why they have to choose between eating and getting their meds. My meds this week cost $320. And the thing that pisses me off the most is that the drug companies do not have to charge so much. Other countries medicines, made by the same drug companies, don't cost as much. Bush and Congress could do something about it if they wanted to. But we all know that Bush won't. He's pro big business so he won't ever do anything that might remotely smack of being against the profiteers. I so hate Bush!

Anyway, like I said, all I've done is lay in bed and sleep. I'm going to try to get out tomorrow and do a couple of things. If I don't I think I'll only get weaker. Stirring around is a good thing.

John Ritter died last night. That just shocked the hell out of me. He was young. And it's just unreal how a death like that hits you. Johnny Cash also died. But he was ancient and it wasn't totally unexpected. Although, he was actually only 71. I would have guessed he was 80. I would have been wrong. But his death just doesn't affect me like Ritter's did. I guess it's because John's was just so sudden.

That's all for now. I'm quickly running out of energy. I think the rant took it out of me. LOL!

Oh! One more thing...Happy Birthday, Andrew! I know it's a day early but I probably won't blog tomorrow and wanted to get the wish in. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Cajoling... [Sep. 3rd, 2003|10:58 pm]
[mood | good]
[music |Watching Leno]

Wellllll, it seems people want me to blog, though there is only a couple of people that ever respond when I do so I'm not too sure about "all" these people that supposedly read about my boring life. But anyway, here I go describing my boring day.

I got up, a bit late, as usual. Took the obligatory shower cause...yeah. Got dressed and went to work. We had an early morning meeting that lasted for an hour and a half. Then back to my office to try to get a few things done before the computer network does it's daily screwing up and going down. I did manage to get some things done before it went down. Then I moved on to filling out purchase order requests for some needed ISO Auditor training for all the plants and for an SPC software package that is much better than the one we currently use. Answered the phone a few times and replied to some questions my auditors had.

Then I went to lunch. Came back and went over to the plant because I couldn't go there first thing because of the meeting. Wandered around the plant answering questions and helping supervisors with quality issues. Talked to the Production Manager about needing 4 of his people to be Internal Auditors. Stood outside with two of my auditors "discussing" quality issues when in reality it was to give them an unofficial smoke break, just because I'm nice like that.

Went back to my office (which is about a block away from the plant). Did some statistical analysis of production runs. Sent out e-mails offering training on Corrective Action Requests. Answered a few e-mails I'd received. Fielded yet more inane calls about stupid issues people should already know the answer for. The computer networked crashed yet again, so I headed back to the plant to deal with issues there. Evaluated a couple of customer returns and informed the supervisors and production manager with the analysis. Walked around the plant BSing with some of the workers. Decided it was too damn hot in the plant to stay there so I headed back to my office.

Computer network was up when I got back so I started working on some work instructions that I needed to finish up and put on the intranet. Well, I did that until the damn network stopped working again. Then I did some 'net surfing just to fill in the time because I couldn't get anymore work accomplished.

Finally five o'clock arrived and I left work and headed to my grandmother's to change the dressing on her leg ulcers. Did that then headed to my parent's house to have supper and pick up my son. Ate an Arby's Market Fresh Ham and Swiss sandwich, plain of course, got Jake rounded up and then came home where I've been on the net talking to Jill, Andrew, Jake, and Heidi. Now I'm watching Leno to see the skank just on the off chance that Holly might be mentioned. After that I'm going to bed. Now tell me, folks, that my life isn't boring. LOL!
